The ep with MOdell is not the very first ep...it's actually several seasons in...I never actually got to see the end of that one....my VCR and antennae messed up... did he have a female partner in that ep? NOt Laura Means?

Oh, Laura Means is the old soul of Melissa from The Field Where I Died...

I use to watch it every now and then...and every ep I would find a crossover with actors... :)
