Duane Barry/Ascenscion"

This was the first classic multi-part mytharc ep. It set the stage for many things that were to come throughout ensuing seasons of XF. Two things struck me out throughout both these eps: one was Mulder's absolute desperation to get Scully back; it went way beyond what people usually feel for co-workers or even friends. Viewing it in retrospect, IMHO Mulder realized he was in love with Scully at this point. . .that she meant more to him than anything or anyone, even finding his sister. The other thing was. . .why was Mulder, whose motto is "Trust No One" and who was so mistrustful of Scully during the early days of their partnership, so trusting of Krycek right up until the point he he had asbsolute proof that Krcyeck was evil?
