"Ok, if we're going to say that she packed up and moved, then we'll need to pack up her stuff and get rid of it." Kande looks around for anything that might help, studiously avoiding the tattooed scraps. "KS - give me one of those garbage bags. Do you have any more?"
"JD - go grab the economy size pack from the basement," orders KS.
JD turns a pale greenish color. "Um...you mean...downstairs? Where the neighbor is / was?"
"Yes, the basement is downstairs." KS rolls her eyes. Since when did JD get squeamish? "Also grab that box of latex gloves. We certainly don't want to leave fingerprints." A strange look crosses KS's face. "Speaking of fingerprints, won't we want to make sure the neighbor's fingerprints are everywhere?"
Kande knows EXACTLY where her sister is going. "NO! I mean, they are probably already everywhere. No need to cut off her fingers." Geez, her sister is one sick puppy.
"I wasn't going to cut off her fingers, silly." KS gives a chuckle. "I was going to cut off her hands! But you're right. It shouldn't be necessary."
As Kande breathes a sigh of relief, JD returns with the garbage bags and latex gloves. KS leads the trio to the door. She peers out to make sure the coast is clear, then gives hand signals to Kande and JD.
"What does that mean?" asks Kande.
"Don't you know any assassin sign language?" Kande and JD shake their heads. "It means we drop to our bellies, then crawl through the rosebushes to the neighbor's door."
"Don't rosebushes have thorns?" asks Kande. Alas, KS is already halfway to the neighbor's house.
Once the three are inside the neighbor's house, KS looks them over. Not even a smudge of dirt on her gleaming white t-shirt. Kande and JD are covered in dirt and have thorns and leaves everywhere. KS sighs.
"Don't pull out those thorns or you'll bleed, which will leave evidence," orders KS, swatting at Kande's hand.
"But they hurt!" whines Kande.
"Suck it up. This is for the mayor!"
The threesome fall silent and set their minds to the task at hand. This is, after all, for their esteemed and beloved mayor.
KS looks around. "Ew. This place is disgusting. Did she ever clean?"
