And unfortunately, heh, the hat falls off her head and onto that of an unsuspecting tourist. "Whew," she sighs, rubbing out the crick from her neck. "Party hats are fun and all that, but an assassin needs to be able to hang free and par-tay!"
"GAWD!" Kande shrieks next to her. "I can't believe you said par-tay."
KS glares at her. "I was just trying to get into the groove of things."
"Stop! STOP! My ears, my ears!" Kande starts to lurch away from KS, but then stops when KS grips her flabby upper arm. They both stare at the stage.
The Mayor has opened all her gifts and has been drinking the special birthday drinks Bubba has been making her. Now she's on the stage, rubbing up against a Red Speedo Revue dancer.
"What's she been drinking?" Stardoe asks as she comes up next to the sisters. "She's acting all...slinky."
"Get a room!" CW yells from behind them.
Kande rubs her face. "Gosh, I thought Bubba was giving her what she requested. You know, mai tais."
KS slaps her forehead. "You know he gets mai tais and mata hari's mixed up."
"What's a mata hari?" Det sidles up to the group, trips over straw wrapper on the floor, somersaults, does the splits, and then throws herself into a chair, wiping the sweat from her face with her cape.
"I don't know what Bubba puts in it, but it's his special drink that loosens inhibitions. For one thing, it makes the Mayor dance...unresponsibly." KS gestures towards the stage, where the Mayor is demonstrating a pole dance technique to one of the Dancing Dana's. "Wow. Uh, she's limber."
CW winces as the Mayor throws one of her legs over the shoulder of a Red Speedo Revue dancer. "Ooh, that's gonna hurt in the morning."
"And it makes her...um..." Kande turns beet-red. "Amorous."
"I sense a Shippy moment," an eager IG walks up, her pen poised above paper.
"Oops, oops! That looks more like a strippy moment! Mayor, MAYOR!" KS moves at warp speed towards the stage, dodging clothing.
Wiping down the bar, Bubba stops and peers over at the stage. His plan is working, soon the Mayor's presents will be his, as will Earth and WHAT IS THE MAYOR DOING NOW?!
