CW caught a movement out of the corner of her eye. Without turning her head, she looked that way and nodded very minutely. "Gotta go home and think about this" she said rather loudly and turned around and walked quickly to her house.
Closing the gate quietly behind her she walked through her brand new oriental arbor toward her East Garden. Stopping to pull a couple of weeds she asked quietly, "what do you think?" without looking up at the speaker who was sitting on the oriental bamboo chair in the shadows.
"KS has done it again has she" stating the obvious without it being an actual question.
"Yes she has" replied CW quietly "she's been getting more and more out of control and our poor Mayor has been taking the brunt of it."
"Tell me about it" he said in his quiet, thoughtful voice "and don't leave out any details."
"We better go for a walk in the back garden" CW suggested. "The arbor was debugged this afternoon but I can't watch her every second of the day. I'll turn the dogs loose as KS has managed to make friends with them. They will let us know if she is close by--they like her and they just love to let everybody know when she's around.
As the two walked into the thick trees in the backyard, the glint of a telescopic lens confirmed to them that they were under surveilance. "She's not one to give up now is she" he said as they stopped to watch her through their binoculars.
Sighing, CW began the long, long, long tale of KS's dastardly deeds, of her cruelty to poor, drooling JD, her unpredictable behavior at the Klub, and her horrendous treatment of the Mayor. "The rest of us have kept our eyes and ears open so we can all report back."
After a long thoughtful silence, he nodded, took out his encrypted satellite phone and made the call.
