Shipperitis is really taking its hold. But only ONE scene??????? I hope it is a long one. While I've been on my death bed this past week I have watched quite a few XF eps. A really good marathon, I have had. And I have done alot of replaying of scenes. I hate that feeling that there is no more but I know there is more for me and I hope that I am satisfied enough by that last ep to not have too much of that "there is no more " feeling as far as shippy scenes go.
What I have noticed , watching all those old eps is that ship did abound. While everyone was whingeing about CC not giving us enough and the Moronos running rampage all over the place.......we were too blind to see that CC was actually ramming ship down our throats at every turn. Right from the early stages. It was there. What was wrong with us?
Also for all the whinging about odd bod shows like Ghosts who stole Christmas, Rain King and even ARcadia.......I marvel at their originality and twist on unoriginality. The writing was excellent. The dialogue alone held the show if nothing else did ......and there were plenty of other things that did. I think S6 was my favourite season. I think that is when the MSR really cemented and statements were made. When you look back on it, CC really was giving us a hell of alot and it might have driven everyone mad with the understatements and subtleties but at least it wasn't like every other TV show that ever aired. I'm glad he did it like that. Yes I was driven mad but I'm still glad he did it like that. It sure as hell gave us a reason to exist here now didn't it? And really, if everyone had just taken their anti-morono pills they all would have seen how obvious it all was. At least it is to me now rewatching after all this time.
