Subject: DAT exe files?

Hey all. I have a question. I was reading up on some new trojans and different methods on how trojans are sent to people. The most difficult part in getting them across is getting past the anti virus scanner the victim has on thier computer. I read about there being some sort of "patch" or file that disables anti viruses. Probably a DAT file or something. Anyways, if anyone has any information on what DAT files are or any info on how to disable a victim's anti virus scannaer please respond. Any addresses to where i can get useful programs would be much appreciated.
