In Mythology, Eos, goddess of Dawn, falls in love with a mortal: Tithonus. She asks Zeus to grant him immortality but forgets to ask for youth. He keeps getting older and couldn't die. After he grew feeble she locked him away in his chamber. Finally she changed him into a grasshopper.

True Story: Arthur Fellig was know as 'Weegee' (from Ouija board) because he had an uncanny ability to predict what would happen and where, and he could get there before the police. He was a photographer; a photojournalist; he cruised the city streets at night in his car. His book 'Naked City' was later made into a movie and a tv show. This city was New York, of course.
"If he had a picture of two handcuffed criminals he would cut the picture in half and get five bucks for each." For a bullet riddled corpse it was $5 per bullet.
