Although he seems to have no connection to Brian Jones, besides the fact that they both visited Cheltenham Town Hall, I thought I'd just mention Gordon Giltrap as the musician I got mixed up with Gordon Lightfoot.

This is a link to a performance by GG with the brilliant Rick Wakeman, formerly of Yes, on piano. I'm only posting the link because IMO; this is a most beautiful piece of music, executed by two hugely talented artists, and I figured you'd appreciate me sharing.
