I think it's very important to find out what actually happened to Brian that night. I think that is owed to his family, friends, and fans. On the other hand, no matter how he died, it will not affect his musical legacy! He did what he did, and how he died has nothing to do with that. And that's how he should be remembered...

I was under the impression that Philip was saying something to that effect---that it wouldn't change Brian's contributions to the Stones and to music in general if we never found out how he died.

And, as to the question of how we would feel if we found out that Brian did die of drink and drugs. Well, I, for one, am to the point that I just want to know what happened, no matter what it is. If someone could prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Brian died because of too much alcohol and too many pills, or that the pool was so hot that it exacerbated what he'd ingested, or that he'd had a seizure.....I could accept that. I could accept that he was accidently killed by Frank, etc. I could accept that he was deliberately killed by Frank, etc. I could also accept that he was a victim of pre-meditated, well thought out, murder. I am not so closed that I can't entertain a number of possible explanations. I still have my own theories, and they have never been proved false, so I can still think what I will. {wink}
