Janet Lawson says he took sleeping pills, those sleeping pills could infact have been mandrax.

He must have taken something for it to show up, whether he would have felt the effects of 3 1/2 pints depends on a lot of things, also if it was mandrax he took in combination with alcohol, then zonking out in a hot swimming pool wouldn't be that unbelievable.

Being drousy/sleepy/boozy in a hot swimming pool is dangerous. The statements of the others don't suggest he was stable on his feet.

For sure, there isn't 100% conclusive proof in the autopsy findings, but it is far more credible than the majority of murder theories, the whole N Fitzgerald stuff for example.

Frank killing him in a rage or accidentally during horseplay when the others went inside is also very credible imo, but I also think Brian's drink and drugs intake would have played a part in that scenario. A drousy Brian versus an angry Frank.
