Are you talking to me? I don't understand how I was hostile. You must be referring to other posters.

I don't agree that love means "giving up your freedom". Sounds like a rather antiquated view. Perhaps you're referring to freedom as far as dating and/or sex with others. I don't understand those people who think being a couple means never doing anything without the other one; talk about stifling! A relationship is much happy and healthier when both parties have shared as well as separate interests.

I bet Brian said a lot of things and asked a lot of people to marry him and then sobered up and thought "crap, what the hell did I do".
