I'm sure his fall from the tree didn't help either...

I remember hearing a Keith interview from when they went to Jajouka to record the Master Musicians for Continental Drift. He seemed quite inarticulate to me even back then. It seemed to me that he had trouble following his own chain of thoughts. I thought it was quite sad, actually.

I keep wondering how much of Keith's substance abuse is due to his guilty feelings over Brian, how much would have happened anyway and how much is due to other factors (Anita's influence, etc.).
