Ohhhh, sorry, I should have explained. The U.S.O. {United Services Organizations, Inc.} is a private, non-profit organization that was founded in World War II to provide entertainment and morale boosting to the troops overseas. Many famous people made {and still make!} a tour or visit to troops with U.S.O. Bob Hope was the most famous, long term entertainer to be associated with U.S.O.

Dad was in England and France during the war---and he went to Japan with U.S.O. Mom was in Newfoundland a bit...and they were both in the States as well, entertaining in veteran's hospitals. It was an exciting, heartbreaking, and busy life.

No, I've never met Paul Newman. I love him also--one of my faves. I pray that he successfully battles his cancer and has many more years of life to enjoy.
