When Mariane Faithful wrote Sister Morphine, she and Mick had already broken up, Mick recorded it with the Stones,and it was on the "Sticky Fingers Album", Mariane was furious because she wrote it, and had read the liner notes and there was no mention of her at all. She contacted Mick, and he told her that the record company wanted all the songs to give him and Keith credit for the writing, But that she would get her cut from the sales of that album.
This was during her heavy Heroin period and that song kept her in "Smack" for over 6 years.
