Subject: Brian playing Guitar

Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend. Thought it was time for a new topic... regarding our Brian. I thought I would bring up which Brian Guitar song do you all like the best and how so?


Think of it as a poll but I would like to see feedback as to why that song (Guitar) makes Brian so popular. I will start off by saying "Dust My Broom" kicks ass and it's too bad Brian playing Slide Guitar on that one is not on tape (as far as I know). So my choice is "Little Red Rooster". Brian's Guitar makes the whole song. Dominates. It's as if the other Stones KNOW this as well. Including Mick, although Mick is quite good in this song. No doubt Brian "shines" on Guitar and naturally the song went to number 1 in Great Britain (late 1964). Brian's dream of bringing the Blues to the masses came true.

Other songs I gave consideration to were "Off Of My Cloud", "I Wanna Be Your Man" and "Jigsaw Puzzle".

Many great songs to choose from!! Brian always did make the Guitar playing look so easy. A brilliant player and largely forgotten. As Charlie says to Keith (True Adventures of the Rolling Stones by Stanley Booth) while listening to "I Wanna Be Your Man" 'Brian could do that in his sleep'!!
