I must agree that they ARE improving lately, in both their performance and attitudes. I'm glad they no longer feel they must hide behind a wall of session musicians. Brian was their "session musician" back in the 60's, and it's uplifting that they've finally reached a stage in their maturity to acknowledge that he was even THERE. I wonder if they'll ever come out and actually admit he started it all?

Does anyone know if this new album comes from those new "old" tapes they discovered last year? I understand from the testimony of musicians who've been with them a long time that "Start Me Up" was the last number they created from the old "Brian tapes". I think it was also their last really big hit, but I could be mistaken about that. it's sort of become their "signature" number.
