I agree. I think of them, really, as two separate bands. I love Exile. Really and truly. It just has that "feel". I used to play it every day after I first bought it.....they had a rougher, earthier sound, that I actually think Brian would have liked. Mick T. was, and is, an excellent guitarist. I think it was only after he left...and the 70's turned into the 80's, that the band started following any and every trend {can anyone say DISCO?? Oy...yuck} and became more of a run-of-the-mill band.
