Actually I think you make his life out to be more dire than it was at that point. Yes, he had undiagnosed health issues, yes, he was an alcoholic, and yes, he had a drug problem. But he was in good spirits and I believe things would have turned around for him given more time. He was beginning to realise who were the parasites in his life and getting to a place where he might have grown the courage to deal with them. I can only console myself with the fact that he could have recovered. After all, its not an easy thing to be thrust into the level of fame he had at such a young age! Ive seen other famous people have similar issues and manage to get their heads to a sane place. And yes, Ive seen those who didnt make it, but I really think Brian could have. I have no other way to deal with his loss, so bear with me!
