This post is in response to requests to have these sketches on the "front page" of the message board. I hope I'm not boring some of you with these repeats, but I hope the next time I post it will be something no one has seen before!

POEM for BRIAN


Though we were long ago young
And you are long ago gone
Down through the years we keep hearing your song
Your music on airwaves still brightly plays on

You died in your spring, with the blossom still blooming
But summer turned autumn, and winter is looming
Our hair is now silver, but yours always gold
Never, did you have a chance to grow old.

Wait for us now as the decades close round
We float down your river of magical sound
Your spirit will guide us, your fingers pluck strings
On harps held by angels, while the universe sings

Though we were long ago young
And you are long ago gone
Our journey grows short at our farewell to fall
As you wait at the Gate, we are hearing your call
