I did email the mods asking if there was a way to mark all posts as read but they never answered

Hmmm....when did you send mail? The only correspondance from you was back in Spetember with regard to joining the other LARS board, no mention of marking posts, we save all the mail people send us and reply to any email we get.
I'm not sure what internet browser you are using, but to be able to mark posts as read it should be an "internet option" of your web browser to mark pages you have previously visited. Depending on your settings, some browsers will clear the pages you've read when you close the browser.
I'm pressed for time, I'll elaborate on this over the weekend.
