All those things you mentioned are false, at least depending on whom you talk to, so it would be slanderous. But slander can just be one thing.
Citizen Kane was a fictional movie. Even if the hidden message was about Hearst it wasn't billed as a biography about the man and didn't use his name. That makes all the difference. If they want to do a fictional story with a differnt character name a la that Primary Colors story which was supposed to be about Clinton then that's fine, it's a satire. Just don't do a story on a person and call it a biography and then just make stuff up to suit an agenda.
