I'm with you guys. The whole virus thing we've seen so far was one giant ruse? So they basically spent how much money and traumatized how many people just to get one bad guy out of prison? But hey...it was worth it so Jack can get himself in good with the Salazars and eventually take the real virus off the market. Holy Cow. Apparently it's mind-boggling to be a secret agent.
Please, please, please let the other virus buyer be Nina. I love Nina. I want her back. It would be even better if she was in cahoots with Sherry.
I feel a little sorry for Chase. Who could possibly keep up with all the twists and turns and mindgames you would need to indulge in in order to be Jack's partner? Although it would have been a little funny if Jack had shot him and later in the show he could work up a little righteous anger and say to Kim, "See? I told you it wasn't a good idea to date someone from work. Now I had to go and shoot him." Somehow make it her fault for dating the guy in the first place.
I do love Tony (not in the way you love him SMH) but really, he just got out of major surgery. What organization in their right minds would allow him to be heading up something as important as this when he's in such a weakened state? All this macho posturing (and hey, the women do it too so I'm not meaning to sound sexist) gets to me. And Michelle surely understood going into the marriage that there would be things Tony would not be cleared to discuss with her. That seems to me just to be plain old common sense in that kind of job. However, she now seems to feel exempt from all of that. Yes, I agree that Chappelle will probably see that little weakness and exploit it.
And the whole Palmer thing...yawn. Palmer to me seems to have lost his edge. Instead of being someone who clearly tries very hard to do the right thing vs. doing the political thing now seems wishy-washy to me, just like a real politician. So now I don't like him as much. And I don't like his girlfriend who maybe is no longer his girlfriend. And boy, did everyone write off that suicide fast. It was like "Gee, sorry your ex kicked off. But hey, now you have those letters that prove you're innocent. Good job!" No gasps of horror at the fact that someone she had once loved shot themselves in front of her -- I mean, sheesh, how gory. She didn't even act that traumatized. It was all about President Palmer and her connection with him. That simply wasn't believable. But I don't like her anyway so I don't necessarily feel that strongly about it.
