As you know NTAC has been rounding up the 4400 members who of course have been getting sick and a few have been dying. Anyhow, this illness takes away their special talents. The doctor who had been a mental patient discovered that NTAC had been giving shots to the 4400 during their physical checkups. NTAC had discovered something in their blood that normal people don't have and the shots were meant to neutralize the power of this blood thing. This factor gave the 4400 the ability to do supernatural things--telekinesis was one of them.
Anyhow, a secretary had transcribed this secret program and had kept a copy which she gave to our two heros in NTAC. They needed to find the baby as she had never had these shots. Her blood was necessary for some sort of antidote which was being made and given to the surviving 4400. The show ended with Peter Coyote and his cronies being arrested and charged with all sorts of crimes. The 4400 folks got their powers back, including those who didn't know they had any. Mia also informed her mother that things were not over--the war was just starting. The ending scene showed the lake with a bearded, long-haired, scruffy looking character standing there. When he turned around we briefly saw that it was Collier. Obviously "they" had taken his body and now he was returned--again.
I frankly had a tiny bit of trouble with this last scene--it was too much like the resurrection story from the Bible. Nothing else in this series seemed to have a religious connotation or reference until now. I will still watch because I want to see where the writers are going to go next.
