Subject: My hopes for returning shows. . .

Something I would *REALLY* like to see on TV this season is a romantic relationship that moves at a speed that at least vaguely resembles reality. Generally speaking, TV romantic relationships have only two paces: warp speed (i.e. they jump into bed together within hours of meeting each other) or glacial (i.e. they spent the better part of a decade doing nothing more than exchanging soulful glances and sexual innuendos. . .three guesses who's the prime example of *this* sort of UST).
It would be terrific (and very "different") if some of the couples who were obviously attracted to each other on shows that debuted last season (like Mac/Stella on "CSI:NY" or Charlie/Amita on "Numb3rs") actually had their relationship move forward this season -- such as by having the characters kiss early this season and maybe get enaged in the season finale -- instead of spending the next three or four years simply gazing wistfully at each other.
