I didn't dislike the ex-girlfriend. Yeah she wasn't super-nice but if I were her I might be kind of like that too. They were living together and maybe engaged. Then he moves back home due to his sick mother and she never hears from him again? Real nice, Don. THEN she finds out that he never even told his family that he was living with a woman? I don't care how out of touch you are with your family, that's pretty big. I felt kind of bad for her.

I liked this episode OK. The case was kind of blah but like you said, it had a lot of good personal touches. Don's sterile apartment, Charlie and Don spending time together, Amita being so key in figuring out what was going on.
