I didn't think about people not being accepting of single parenthood. I can't really understand that mindset, so it never occurred to me. Last season they brought Josh Gracin's kid up on stage a few times, and I never heard anything about favoritism(although I have to admit I never frequent any Fox boards). Although, he was married and not a single parent.

I really don't know what happened last night. I thought there were a lot of strong performances on Tuesday. For the first time Jasmine impressed me, and Diana DeGarmo looked actually seemed to show some emotion (other than her everpresent, creepy smile) to go along with her good technical performance. The only thing I can figure is that in past weeks, the performances of LaToya, Jennifer, George, and Fantasia were SO far above the rest of the group, the level playing field this week caused a lot of people to jump into the camps of the other performers, knowing that they were on their way out if something wasn't done. I also agree with Paula that all of the Jon Peter Lewis fans probably voted for John Stevens or split their vote among the the other top four, which I'm sure affected the voting.

I was listening to John Stevens sing Mandy, and I had to change my mind about saying that he really can't sing. He can sing, but his voice just seems SO weak to me. It'a always a little wobbly, so either he's always really really nervous or he just doesn't have the voice strength. Whatever, I still am not a fan.

Also, I have to say that I love me some Barry Manilow!
