24 (good or bad writing) to most of the stuff that's on tv right now (and what's slated for next fall) I guess I will take the show at face value. It's far better than 90+% of the crap that most of the networks try to pass off on viewers.
I agree that the Palmer stuff was getting a little out of character, but then he is human and subject to human mistakes. I think his little brother is stupid but sincere in his efforts to help his big brother. Sherry is just as bad as Nina, IMHO. She has no conscience and will do whatever she wants to get her way--power hungry litttle twit. I hope she stays dead. However, Nina didn't so I wouldn't be too surprised if Sherry comes back from the dead. ;-)
In a sense, it's ok to clean out the fluffy characters. I never did like Ryan Chappell as he was a weak, somewhat pompous little man. At least he did his part in stopping the virus stuff for a while. Gael was a loss--we never did get to see him do much so it was good that he could die as a hero of some sort.
Saunders is human, maybe his daughter is the only person in this world who means anything at all to him. Jack played him and I think he would have grieved to have had to watch Saunder's daughter die. But then he knows how a twisted mind works.
Tony--he's still a weakling. Good looking guy but too emotional to be a good tough guy in an organization like CTU. I think anyhow. Michelle has more "intestinal fortitude" than he does.
Chloe gets on a lot of people's nerves, however I can't help wondering if her character doesn't have Aspergers. She certainly acts like it--lousy social skills but extremely intelligent and talented. Just a thought.
