After months of searching the net i'm still yet to find an on-line outlet (UK or US) that sells reproduction action soldier, sailor, pilot and marine 1st issue boxes. I know there are some shop outlets in the US but none on the net, which makes it difficult trying to buy them when living in good ol' blighty. Does anyone know of an on-line site that sells repro boxes and takes credit cards??

- Action figures: Different body types? -- James, 12:00:10 05/29/03 Thu (NoHost/207.202.92.200)
Seems to me every Dragon, or Ultimate Soldier or whatever 12" figure are of the same body type. I'm looking for variations in body types that will fit Dragon heads.
Example: Batman obviously is taller and stockier than Robin. So what if I wanted to make a Batman & Robin figure...am I forced to make them the same build and height?
Are there any differences in these figures? If so does any site specifically show the differences in these action figures height and build so I can buy based on those differences?

Also, I can not find a good supply of backpacks (or Bergens?) where do you find these.

Hi All
Just got my Hot toys SAS HALO - One thing puzzles me, don't airborne troops carry their weapons in some form of "Drop Bag" - I know they did back in WW11.
Although I have seen photos of SAS/SBS HALO jumpers in full kit, I don't have one to hand in my own reference collection. Can anyone point me in the right direction, would an SAS HALO Jumper carry his M16/203 slung as per the kit, or would it be protected in a cover?
Any pix or links to this much appreciated.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this. There was a 1:6th scale "chopper" type motorcycle that was being sold in store last year. I believe it was called the GI JOE RIDER. The figure was in civilian clothing and the vehicle was a chopper. I could be wrong on the maker but I am sure of the item. I have tried everything and I still can't find it, if anyone has any info on this item please e-mail me. I would appriciate it. Thank you. AM

Please help me to understand something...I'm maybe a little slow, so help me out. I've noticed in a number of postings, or it seems to me, maybe I'm wrong, that vehicles are hard to come by or are very expensive over there. I know of duties and stuff like that, big extra costs when it comes to guys I know in other countries, is it the same in the U.K.? Do you get dinged with hefty customs fees, are there cheaper ways to ship to you from N.America that most dealers just don't do, for whatever reasons?

I am looking for the following Dragon bits:-
German M43 S.S. privates uniform, doesn't have to be M.O.C. (two is possible, or just the jackets would be welcome. I can also swat for German Army private uniforms M.O.C.).
2 German Grey M.G. spare barrel tube and barrel (metal if possible).
2 German Sand M.G. spare barrel tube and barrel (metal).
6-8 M.G. ammo belts with METAL bullets.
1 'Marcus' Italian camouflage overall.
I am also after a 21st Centuary or G.I. Joe Willys M.B. jeep, again it doen't have to be boxed or even complete.
I will pay a top price for any of these (cash waiting) or will trade for other Dragon stuff (mostly German inc. M.G.34's), ultimate soldier 'Panzer Grenadier' opened uniform set (no Grenade or panzerfaust), or even wartime military items. Cheers.

Anyone else got this yet? I've only had chance to watch the main feature once, but there are meant to be a couple of 'easter eggs' on the first disc. Anyone have any idea how to access these?

I've just seen the TUS Steve McQueen & motorbike box set for sale in a toyshop in Chester for £100! I couldn't believe they were serious. They also had the BBi F15 cockpit for £150, although I suppose that is a bit more plausible.
Still, at least it means that 1/6 stuff is SLOWLY starting to filter into mainstream toy stores. Now if only Toys 'R' Us would start selling them....

I have just got the new 21C Afrika Corps Motorbike and sidecar, but on closer inspection found that although it is supposed to be a B.M.W., it isn't the same design as the R75 or the R12. What is it supposed to be? Also I have the complete Afrika Corps figure and accesories for sale or trade if anyone is interested.

Dear Sir,
I'm, prior service (ARMY ENGINER). I'm, going back in the service as (ARMY INFANTRY). I've just started to get into the 1/6 scale race. It's alittle more money, but it is worth it.
I, would like to know if you sale any of your CUSTOM figures you make? If not, do you make any for people?
Thank you for your time, Mike...

I am trying to make a group of SAS from Desert Storm. I have read IA and starting Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab. I have lots of gear and working on a bergen. Also working on the vest shown on the first page of the photos in B20. I wish not to step on anyones toes by asking for a run down on the gear used to make the SAS-DW figure from the photo gallery. From the tips page, I will be painting some of my weapons to fit better. Please any help well be greatly resived. Thank you all.

There is a 'Panorama' special on Sunday, Feb. 10th at 22:15 all about the Bravo Two Zero story. Looks like it contains interviews with patrol members plus the trailer had some re-construction footage of certain events.

- Pile it high, sell it cheap... -- PBI, 09:46:17 01/30/02 Wed (webprox1.livjm.ac.uk/150.204.254.140)
Went to visit Modeller's Loft last week & they have stacks - and I mean STACKS!- of the new Dragon Freedom Fighters figures on sale. The SAS guy looks disturbingly like Roy Keane....
They also had tons of the new Dragon SS smock sets for a tenner each. I'm a big fan of Modeller's Loft because they have boxes and boxes of loose parts for those of us who don't really want to buy a £30 box set to get a jacket or a hat or a weapon (I still end up spending over a £100 every time I go there though!)
The store is so jam-packed with goodies (and there's more in a warehouse apparently), that they're moving to bigger premises in Caterham. I personally think that this is good news for our hobby. The more popular it becomes, the cheaper things get!
I've just picked up the GI Joe Panzer Officer from Forbidden Planet in Liverpool. It isn't great, but for £9.99, I'm quite happy to do a little modification. They also had the new GI Joe Jeep, which looks excellent, for £35. Not a bad price at all. I wonder how much Kool's are charging....?

Your Somalia Ranger looks excellent. Only two flaws:
We wore the new pattern DCUs with Choc Chip Kevlar covers
We had RBA in woodland, not the old PASGT.
Still, this is an excellent kitbash, one to be proud of. Thank you for your time in representing those of us who were there.
