Subject: Moral Obligation or Legal ?

i have been involved in a contested divorce for over a year now. My ex to be has lots of $$$ I have a little. I am running out of money and am now getting unemployment (in Real Estate business looking for Real Job). What can my attorney do if I tell him I am almost out of money. Will he drop me? Is there some legal obligation on his hehalf to finish the case? Are there any financial assistance programs for individuals like me that will not quallify as "indigent"?

HELP!
