Subject: What can I do to a person who trespasses on my property?

I just sold a car to a guy who is angry because he claims that it needs some minor work, and I am refusing to fix it. After a heated phone conversation, he said "I know where you live" and hung up. Obviously that's threatening, but I doubt that's enough to notify the police about.

I am wondering what I can legally do if he shows up and attempts to harm me or my property. I live in a subdivison on a 1/4 acre lot, not out in the country, so I don't have "no trespassing" signs up or anything. I don't have a gun, but I have a steel pipe that would really hurt if you got hit with it. I don't want it to come to this, but in case it does, I just need to know when and when not to use force, and how to best cover myself. I also have a video camera that I can turn on if he shows up, would this be a good idea?
