i was in the same position,me and my mate were together 4 nine years andengaged for one year.Even though i only worked for 3 of those years,my main job was raising the kids and taking care of the home,we made plans of building a home on a 3 acre land in west palm.True enough my income couldnt pay the payments but i feel i did my part,taking long trips every weekend to help find the land.He was the provider in the relationship,I helped him get through school(six years of it)with the promise that once he graduates it will be my turn to start school.To make a long story short,he made it big then left me,sold the land,now he buys and sells condos and im still trying to finish school but with no help from him.He didnt give me and the kids a dime,even clamed us on income tax and didnt send any money to us.I dont think its fair to me because of all the sacrifices ive made to help his career and me and the kids get 700.00 voluntary child support monthly,but its not enough concidering the life style he put us in.Its hard to keep it up considering im a full time student and we need things.Can i do anything about it?
