Chase Plummer, PF, 6'5, St. Patrick's (NJ)
Favorite: UMBC
2nd in Line: Quinnipiac
3rd in Line: Canisius
UMBC and Quinnipiac will be battling it out for Plummer, or at least that is how it seems right now. Canisius is still in play as well, but looks to be a bit behind the other two. Plummer had a good summer, drew some more interest, saw his list change a bit, and has appears to have sorted through it. With UMBC having been involved with Plummer for a bit longer, and Quinnipiac recently picking up a commitment from a big forward in Ike Azotam, the Retrievers may be in a bit better of a position to land Plummer. Granted, Azotam and Plummer play different styles and also, some players like when schools enter late and show a lot of interest from the start (i.e. Carson Desrosiers), so you can never truly tell. It is tough to tell who is leading between UMBC and Quinnipiac—I have even gone back and forth a bit—but it does look as though it will come down to these two programs, unless Canisius makes a very strong push.
