Silver- this is not JUST for young alumni. This is for all. A group of us (young alumni), are pushing for more involvement and attendance by those we went to school with who are still in the area. The Papa Jakes "Partnership" is a way to get those fans out. It just happened that the owner was open and very excited about the idea.

Throw the "young alumni cage club" out the window right now. We do not intend to step on anyones toes. we are just trying to become more active in the program and creating a group to reach people was just the idea.

I'm not tying to start anything, I am just curious as to what is being considered as "young". I'm all over more people getting involved whether it is a few new groups or more people getting involved with existing groups. Either way, I see it as a good thing.

Young Alumni is anyone who wants to come to the events. Basically, there are two groups of consistent alumni fans now: the "Cage Club" diehards, and this new generation of fans. The new generation of alumni fans met at Papa Jake's and is trying to set up meeting before games.

For Cage Club, athletics is creating a list of venues and a schedule of pre or post game parties. It will likely be worked out in the next couple of weeks.
