Subject: Buffalo News: Manhertz verbally commits

Chris Manhertz, a 6-5 power forward from Cardinal Spellman High in the Bronx, has given a verbal commitment to Canisius according to a source.

I've seen his name listed here before, just wondering how those who follow him view this. Is he more like a (potentially) Marqus Blakely of Vermont smaller PF-type, or another TVS?

Chris is an undersized post player who by all accounts has great potential by virtue of his huge upper body, quickness, and aggressiveness around the hoop. Sounds like someone who can excel in the MAAC. He has been a first team Class A Catholic League all star his sophomore and junior years and excelled in AAU play this past summer. Seems like a good kid as well.
