Don't forget WBB picking up their first MAAC win and a great effort against Marist one of the best teams on the womens side of the conference.

WBB is in good hands with Coach Hemer. The ladies are making progress, and should be competitive the rest of the way. No question the future looks good. On the subject of women's basketball, former Griff Michael McCarthy is now coaching the girls at Cardinal O'Hara. Michael was All WNY as a player at SJCI, and recruited to CC by Coach Beilein. Michael only played one season for the Griffs, but at 6'7,with great basketball instincts and a good 3 pt shot, he would have had a great career playing the point for the Griffs. Unfortunately things didn't work out well for Michael, and that was the end of his college career. I recently ran into Michael at the KAC, and he is happy and really into coaching. His team is currently ranked second in WNY to Williamville South, coached by former Griff Chris Dolan.
