Griffs got killed inside against Brown and many others this year. Our outside shooting is horrible, really miss Foley. My question and problem is, with the new NCAA transfer rule why would a mid-major ever redshirt someone. If Rautins turns out really good he will play his last year at ie Syracuse. If the big guy turns out good he will have many higher level offers to play that 5th yr.Ask UB football how that is working out for them, and football I understand why you would.Get those 2, minutes, except for injury no reason to ever redshirt. Ford is a different story

Could just the opposite be true? A strong 3 or even a 4 star comes to a respected mid-major with a great OOC schedule and gets to play 30+ minutes a game, leads the team to the NCAA, maybe even a win or two in the tournament rather than ride the bench getting only 5-7 minute a game at a power school...such a player would be highly sought after as a transfer with two or three years of eligibility remaining. Of course such a player would want a team with a coach who know how to teach a big man the position!!!!
