Subject: Offseason

For many of us, returning three starters, and looking forward to the upside that Sanks and Faulkner and Lott’s would bring, this season was supposed to be special. Instead it’s turned into “special”, in a very disturbing way. No team chemistry (after hiring a professional to help with that), blowing big leads, questionable substitution patterns and not a lot of positives as we get deeper into the MAAC season. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe this.

With 15 games left, I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel, but things are looking bleak. I couldn't believe what I witnessed last night. With 15 minutes remaining and a ten pt. lead, the Griffs completely collapsed. Turnovers led to several easy Rider goals, and the game was lost. It was painful to watch. Will we see more of the same vs Iona? I hope Reggie and his staff have some answers. Go Griffs!!!

Every day this offseason I couldn't wait to get the season going in anticipation of the great things to come , the results so far are bewildering at best, is it possible Reggie brought the sports psych in because he realized we largely had a group of players with little intensity or a team first attitude, everything is now in question including coaching, we could turn things around but equally as likely we could further regress to a play -in team in the maac, our inability to make shots from almost anyplace on the floor is a surprise to most I believe based on last year shooting, have to wonder if we totally under appreciated what Crump meant to the team last year, again just don't know what to think of this team!

My concern is with recruiting and not so much with the coaching. The coaching was good when Crumpton was here. Crumpton was not adequately replaced. There were no early signings. We have no information on recruiting. We don't know how many scholarships are available. Is Ford still here? Will he be on scholarship next year? Griff, do you have any recruiting information?

Ford still here. In street clothes last game. I fully expect him to be a scholarship guy next year.
