Subject: re local guys

i believe rw has 4 ships available(unless ford gets one then he has 3)i have not seen a high school game in years so i have no personal knowledge of any hs player. however rw has an definite need for at least 2 BIG MEN, hitchons has shown great growth year but he is not a center, he a absolutely gets overwhelmed by bigger men, he would definitely be an excellent 4 man, i have never seen hadzic play but i have a suspicion he is not a division 1 player. as to hemphill i have been told he is not a div 1 player, i have never even heard of harris, local big men would be joe jones(who cc probablyhas no chance of getting, the big man at park school, or the 2 other big men who left park although one of them a a big time prospect

Ford is definitely getting a ship unless something unforeseen occurs. Harris is a 6'3" shooter who leads a very good ECC team at 16.5 points a clip. Was very good at Park. Hemphill has numbers but I've personally never seen him play. Hadzic will no doubt be redshirted. I've been told that while he is limited athletically, he's a smart kid who can really shoot it and who they have high hopes for. I don't see Jones being a possibility.

I have seen O'Hara play a number of times this year. They have a very nice team and overwhelm opponents with their athleticism. Justin Hemphill is very athletic himself. However, I don't see him as a D1 player. Not now anyway He's not a good shooter. Most of his buckets are within 5 feet of the basket. It works for him in hs but he's not going to get those points in college.

I have seen Hemphill play several times.A very good HS player but did not impress me as a D 1 prospect. He plays Center at 6ft 5 in., and gets a lot of dunks and put backs against very limited players. I came away very lukewarm on him to say the least. I think he would be a reach. The guard from East HS 2 years ago ,who did not academically qualify ,is supposedly on their radar, and tight with Reggie. He is said to be the real deal. I never say him play. I saw Dolan several times. Very impressive HS player, and probably a good MAAC player. No way he was better than Reese or Molson from what I saw. Just not as athletic etc.

That is the player I have heard a lot about. Supposed to be a really good prospect.

Maybe down the road but I'd be surprised to see him in the picture next year. He's currently a freshman at Iowa Western JC averaging 3.6 points through 20 games.

I believe Greg Dolan would be an ideal recruit. He may not be as athletic as Reese or Molson (which recent Griffs have been?), but he is certainly athletic enough and his basketball IQ is great. Bring him in next year, sit behind Malik his freshman year, take over the point in yr 2.

Joe Jones appears to be in his 2nd year of prep school. Might grades be an issue?

Willard Anderson is physical specimen whose best basketball is in the future.

I like the idea of recruiting some JUCO's. They should be more mature & developed than high schoolers (see Sanks) and you know you have them for 2 years (unless you completely miss on a kid...see Johnson-Alls).
