Subject: Advice to Reggie

Enough with "Sending Messages". You did it with Robertson in the Samford game. Reese (who should already be your most loyal guy) and Hitchon tonight. Foley and others at random times. No one pays and comes to games to see you do your best Father Baker impression. We, who make a lot less money than you, pay to see you win games, which you easily could have tonight. Take care of business with your players in practice and off the floor. And then win games. I watch a lot of college basketball and have never seen so much "in game" discipline. Pretty telling I think.

I risked my life in a blizzard tonight to see the best player get benched and a woeful effort. I still don't know why and probably never will. But I do know that I will seriously reconsider renewing my season tickets as long as you continue to "lead" this program in such a way.

I supported Reggie when he benched Crumpton during a game his junior season, but benching Reese vs. Niagara for "in house issues" was a fit of pique by an overly sensitive, egocentric coach. Reggie owes it to our dwindling loyal fans to put his best team on the floor especially in a rivalry game.
It's increasingly hard to root for a team with a prickly coach whose temperament is out of control (as in the Iona game where he spent a good 15 minutes ranting over a single missed call). He's become an embarrassment. Time for him and his worthless assistants to move on.

I just read Reggie’s comments about how the teams’s energy was low and they can’t take their time to feel their way through a game. Really?? Coach, this is on you and your coaches. On the other hand this team has no heart. Maybe it’s a generational thing but I’m done! Not sure what we do next but someone needs to let Reggie know that all of us are tired of his act. Fix it, all of us deserve better!

At a certain point throwing your team under the bus reflects more on your inability to prepare or take accountability.
