I certainly do not know what happened with the Isiah Reese situation, but there is no way that Reggie wanted to lose him , as he was a critical player on the team, even if his play was not up to last year’s performance. That being said, the situation will really hurt his chances at professional basketball. He likely loses the rest of this season, and will have to sit out next season if he transfers. One would hope he continues the educational opportunities afforded him by virtue of his basketball ability. Best of luck to him either way.Go Griffs.

Reggie has some fine qualities, but public relations and forgiveness are not among them. He and his staff are insular and inflexible

. He apparently has made no effort to restore relations with Isaiah as he is incredibly stubborn and lacking in compassion for this kid. Isaiah may have dissed Reggie, but he was playing hard and unselfishly when he was dismissed. Other than the disgraced Bobby Knight, what other coach and leader would have refused to reconcile with a young man whose future ability to play again is at stake.

Reggie should be better than that, and so should Canisius.

Totally agree. Who is the adult? Shouldn’t they be trying to help their players grow into respectable young men not showing them who’s the boss! Someone needs apiece of humble pie and I don’t mean Reese.
