Subject: Moving Forward...

Were right there today and had a chance - that is all you can ask for - against the hottest and perennially best team in the MAAC. Just couldn't make plays/stops down the stretch. Hitchon's foul troubles (11 minutes) really hurt.

The silver lining today is that with Monmouth's loss, the Griffs clinched a top 5 finish and first round by.

So, two games at home and obviously they have to win both. Hopefully, they can finally get hot at home. And then our attention turns to Rider. They need to beat Iona at home on Friday and then lose at Marist next Sunday - both certainly possible. And if those things happen, the Griffs win the MAAC, get the automatic NIT bid, and number 1 seed in the MAAC Tournament. Stranger things have happened.

Do we need rider to lose to Marist? I think we still finish ahead in a 3 way tie with Rider/Quinn

In a three way tie, I would agree. That assumes Quinnipiac wins out at St. Peter's and home against Manhattan - so a good chance. In the case of a 3 way tie @ 12-6, Griffs would win out based upon 3-1 record versus Rider and Quinny. Rider would be 2-2 and Quinny 1-3.

If Quinnipiac doesn't win out, however, and it comes down to Rider and Canisius both being 12-6, then I believe Rider would win the tiebreaker based upon their record versus Iona (11-7) against Canisius being swept by Iona. Again, much comes down to how Quinnipiac finishes.

Assuming Rider and us finish at 12-6 and Quinny losses one of their next two and finishes at 11-7 with Iona being 11-7 as well, would Quinny finish ahead of Iona? Both 1-1 against each other.
