Subject: Big 4 Update: Will Reggie finally come through in March?

Next week will all come down to whether or not the Griffs can put a solid stretch of games together.

They’ve had solid teams fall short in the past and will need to show they’re capable of winning in Albany before earning the trust of anyone.

The same can be said of Reggie Witherspoon. The Griffs third-year head coach is still looking to make his first NCAA Tournament.

He’s had plenty of opportunities, twice losing in the MAC Tournament Finals while coaching at Buffalo. Then losing in the MAAC quarterfinals versus Quinnipiac last year after tying Rider for the regular season title.

Witherpoon’s reputation in March has been the one blemish on his wonderful career.

This could be the year that he clears that mark off. Canisius has as good of a chance as anyone else in the conference.

Griffs will need to play defense and physical. Siena has been whining about how the Griffs are too physical. I would prefer that we play Fairfield vs. Manhattan. Let's get to Sunday and most likely play Qunnipiac. Go Griffs!
