The Griffs will continue to lose quality players until the school decides to take basketball seriously. Playing games at the Keossler is a joke. What good player wants to play in what is no better than an average practice facility?

It's sad, but true. He was probably under-recruited in high school because of the personal issues.

If he transfers, the interesting thing will be to see what kind of (bogus) hardship he'll claim to get immediate eligibility. Otherwise, he sits for a year.

Can't see him getting a hardship. He'd be moving away from his family...

But I could see him getting to Seton Hall and being a role player. That's what kids don't get. Role players in the Big East don't go to the NBA. Kids who absolutely dominate in a mid-major conference actually get better looks because people aren't sure exactly how you'll do as a pro and may be willing to roll the dice. If you average 8 points a game at Seton Hall, you've sealed your fate.

You’re correct if he averages 8 points a game he will be lucky. He has a chance to also mature and develop his ability to lead. My understanding is that he is testing the waters and the door is open for him to return. We saw what happened wish Zach Lewis, left for UMass only to return to the MAAC.

Seton Hall fans seem less than excited...

Totally agree Takal did not have a stellar season. He shot 26 percent from the 3, got his points per game taking lots of shots, and turned the ball over forcing drives to the basket that were not there to start with. He should stay where he is, and work on his deficiencies. ?NBA future. No way unless he really improves in many areas. He has an NBA body but not an NBA game.Wish him well.

The advantage of staying here is that you definitely get playing time to improve your game. At the large schools you can spend most of your time on the bench because a 3 or 4 star will get playing time before you. Some 3 or 4 stars at major powers could develop into NBA/ foreign candidates with the playing time and coaching here.

Personally feel you guys aren't giving Takal enough credit. Thinking he can't average more than 8 points at a bigger school is a joke and comparing him to Zach Lewis is embarrassing. He took more shots and turned ball over more because without Reese all the scoring fell on his shoulders. Sanks, Malik, Hitchon, White all were sporadic. Molson only had 2 games this year where he didn't score at least 10. Yes the 3 point percentage was bad but he took a ton because he's trying to improve. After This summer we will be more consistent and will shoot a lot more like Niagara games where he couldn't be stopped. He shot almost 57 percent from 2 point range this year and improved from foul line. Give him a good coach unlike Reggie and he can score 16 a game at a school like Seton Hall with ease

The flaw in your logic is that there's only one ball. Do you really think he's going to get enough minutes and shot attempts on a team that graduates one kid and has one of the most prolific scorers in the nation in Myles Paul, to get 16 a night "with ease"? Stop.

Well actually yes i do think he could get 16 with ease. You forget wherever he goes he has to sit out. Which means he has another full year to develop and learn. Seton Hall was also just an example because he visited there. Just don’t see why you aren’t rooting for a kid that gave everything he had every night in a Griffs uniform. Not his fault the coaching staff is poor.

I agree he won't get the ball at S.H like he did at Canisius. He didn't have to take all those shots, he chose too. Guys were open for a better shot but he usually decided to chuck it up there from 3 and see what happens instead. Much better 3 point shooters on the team. Unfortunately they didn't get to take enough shots from 3, hard to take a shot without the ball. If Takal would of used his team mates more they would of won more. He won't be doing that at Seton Hall if he goes there. Takal's best game is driving the basket for a lay up or dunk. He is fearless for sure. Hope he does well where ever he goes.
