Canisius could pay someone to fund raise for Athletics full-time to help alleviate some of this. Coaches basically fund raise for their own programs and this takes crucial time away from recruiting, game plans, practices, etc.

Dennis Misko does a great job but he's also soliciting major gifts throughout the campus.

Right now the elephant in the room is the completion of Science Hall. The last number I heard was $35 M (It's probably more now for inflation). That can be a big game changer for CC. After that the focus should be an events center. I can't understand why hockey is struggling. CC is a natural for an excellent hockey program with our location and Harbor Center and Buffalo's hockey culture. Maybe a better recruiting budget to start with? "Free tuition" at N.Y. State schools has greatly hurt many, many private institutions. The Governor is absolutely out of his mind with that one. He needs to fix that. Buffalo now has some big money people engaged in the City. Maybe one or two of them would like their name on Science Hall or the Events Center or a building for the CC Business School or etc. Can someone make that happen?

We’ve been talking about this for years. They need to get several donors vs. one or two. Buffalo doesn’t have that many folks with that much cash who love CC. With regards to hockey I wish Dave Smith had stayed at least another year.. Our recruiting classes haven’t been that great when it comes to hockey. Trevor is a nice guy but we’re not the same type of team. With basketball all of us are very disappointed. How we long for the days of Coach Baron. The way that we’re playing it looks like the days of Tom Parrotta. Something has to change and quick.
