Baron Jr. would be an interesting choice. However, being a good player is no guarantee of being good HC and while being a good player, he hasn't any coaching experience.

One guy, now retired, who could turn your program around in about 5 minutes is Mike Deane, former HC of Siena. He’s now retired and 68, not sure if he would have an interest or if he has the gas in the tank but he would remake CC’s, or any program, quickly.

Mike Deane isn't going to be hired. This is just like the "Canisius and Niagara should just play all their home games at the big arena" idea.

As for Coach Witherspoon leaving, I'm no apologist. I'm not a fan, but compare what he's done so far at Canisius compared to Baron, Parrotta, or Coach Mac. If you want a new coach, you better be sure your replacement is really better.
