I attended the Manhattan Cup games the other night. Yes, the place was packed, and the students from the four schools turned out, and put on a great show. Sorry, but this doesn't happen today in college basketball. For some reason those kids that carry on for high school games probably never attend a college game. Don't ask me why, but that is the reality. I know you will mention Duke and a few others, but in general most college student have other options like concerts etc. By the way, I was impressed with that kid from the Crusaders. He is the only player that night that possibly could play D1. He has the body, and the strength to play at a higher level. I hope the Griffs recruit him, and red shirt him his first year. He could be a good one down the road.Chances are however that he will most likely end up at Daemen. Looking forward to the NU game. Can't believe the Griff could lose again to this team. They have no size, so there shouldn't be any match up problems like we face vs Iona, and others. Go Griffs!!!

My point is more Monsignor Martin games at KAC is only good to expose high school kids to the Canisius facilities and maybe to attend our school or come to a Griffs game. This is an asset UB doesn’t have. The college needs to do more to cultivate their PREP school in many ways. The Crusaders are only blocks from our campus.
