How many players, at the most, would take this option? Twenty? Ten? Minimal impact, and none of these guys would even consider about 330 of the 350-some college teams.

This year there is uncertainty about the 20-21 college season. In the future that won't be so.

And anyway, college basketball would be better off as a whole without the one-and-dones.

Whether they are a top-tier High School recruit, or no name that makes a name for them self-there will always be one and done type players. I think this could have a big trickle down effect on all programs. Look at those that enter the draft now as underclassmen-kids will still go that route even if they know they aren't a lottery pick. I think more kids will go this route, there will still be as many 1 and done athletes every year (even with those skipping college altogether) and the quality of low power conference/high mid majors will be impacted, and thus the lower mid-majors accordingly.
