Three part question for the group:

If CC had to cut programs, what would you keep?

If CC dropped to DII or DIII, what would that do for your support and passion for the athletic programs?

If hockey ended up being the only D1 program at CC, would you go all in on support for that team?

Ideally, I'd like for them to keep M+W hoops, hockey and one other women's sport. The rest can declassify to D3 to save money.

That said, if CC becomes a hockey only school - so be it. Go ALL IN - invest a bit more in the program, try to get Canisius at the highest level of college hockey. We're in the market for it. I'd be down with that.

You can't be dividing teams up between D1 and D3, NCAA wont allow it.

For far too long we allowed our presence to dwindle in sports. Father Demske & Cooke could have done a better job of funding Koessler, and the coaches. At one point we had a 10 year jump on Siena and many of the MAAC schools. Now we sit somewhere in the middle. We’re on a slippery slope here and we need to manage the short & long term. Don’t drop to D3 on the other sports fund your premier sports correctly in D1. That means go after the best young coaches and develop a culture of why not us. Think bigger. Canisius is a brand and sports can help to build it. Bona has done a great job and Niagara has stepped it up in hoop. Go Griffs’
