Subject: Game 1 Analysis
What a strange 2020 opener...
My evaluations in no particular order -
Fofana - Not spectacular but wasn't overwhelmed and handles the ball well. Hit a big 3. Didn't look to score a lot. Should only get better.
Maslennikov - Not that athletic but battled all night and has a decent touch and instinct for the game. Definitely a serviceable big man.
Fritz - Certainly not his best game as a Griff but he continues to impress. Fouls hampered him a bit tonight but still managed 8 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists. Will only continue to get better.
Uijtendaal - Ugh. Not really sure how to evaluate him. Showed a few times - hitting a 3 - but really struggled defensively and in general on the offensive end. I have a hard time seeing how he has taken minutes from Harried.
Henderson - Lights out in the first half. Cooled down a bit in the second. Ended with 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting and 4 assists. Great to see him healthy this year. He and Brandon are obviously the best scorers on a regular basis.
Brandon - Always starts a bit slow (maybe the reason they prefer him coming off of the bench) but once he gets going, he's as explosive a scorer as there is in the league. 16 points tonight on 7-14 shooting.
Beyah - Showed really well in the first half. Fewer minutes late. Definitely looks the part and appears they view him as more of a 2 guard than a point. Can only get better and help more moving forward.
Harried - 8 points and 4 of 5 from the line which was great to see! A little surprised as to his limited minutes but he certainly made the most of them. I look for Armon to play a much bigger part mas the season moves on.
Green - Wow! Not a crazy athlete but this kid battles! 18 and 7 in his first game. Strong and energetic. Can't expect him to bang two 3's a game but you can tell that he's a winner
who does what he has to do. Outstanding first game and my MVP.
White - Tweaked a knee in practice and did not play. They certainly could have used him. Hopefully can play on Saturday.
Hitchon - Still recovering from earlier injury. Definitely could have used him too. May be out for awhile.
Brooks - Not sure why he wasn't dressed or where he may fit into the rotation.
Ahemed - Not even in the KAC tonight. Will try to get more on his situation. He could certainly help if and when he is available.

Re: Game 1 Analysis -- Good win, should win, Fri, December 11 2020, 19:15:11
Good team win, those are the kind of games Canisius should be expected to win.
Green started shaky but turned a corner in a big way.
Love potential post depth, and overall depth, once Hitchon returns.
